I love when Clarence, the aspiring angel asked, is George Bailey sick?  The experienced angel said, “No, WORSE, DISCOURAGED!  I could talk just about that line all day long.  Because I think it is rather powerful that being discouraged is worse than being sick!  WOW!  I’ll save that for another blog.

When George Bailey says to the Clarence, his angel after going through a horrible situation, “I wish I were never alive.”  Clarence gave George more than what he bargained for.  He showed George exactly what the city looked like, had he never been born.  It was devastating for George to see just how everyone’s life was totally different (in a negative way) because he wasn’t alive to impact their lives in some way or another.  One in particular was his brother who drowned as a kid, because George was not there to save him from drowning.  By his brother not being alive, many people died that his brother were to have saved while serving in the military.

What am I talking about?  For anyone who really knows me well, you know that my absolute favorite movie is It’s a Wonderful Life.  I watched it again yesterday, after talking about it briefly on WMAP radio show.  Even though this is an old Christmas movie, it doesn’t matter to me.  What matters to me is the message.   And boy, are there many, many messages.  I watch it many times throughout the year for inspiration to remind me that I have no idea who I might be positively impacting in their lives.

Do you know who you are impacting positively in their life?  I would guess possibly not.  I am learning sometimes its people who you might not even know directly.  I believe that everyone is on assignment here.  While you might not think that you are really making a difference in someone else’s life, here’s what I want to leave you with . . . You just never know!
