Earlier this week, we got a 100% blizzard forecast in Colorado.  100%!  So I was smart enough to stay home the day of and the day after.  I have learned that blizzard is nothing to play with having lived in Denver for 38 years.  During spring time here in the Rockies, when others get rain, we usually get spring snow.  This time it was a blizzard.  .

I love what snow does for the city.  It’s like a beautiful covering of white powder all over everything.  It’s not enough to negatively affect traffic today.  With our weather being so dry here, it gives us just a little more moisture.  When it is a blizzard however, so many other things have to be considered like visibility and mobility.  Hundreds of cars got stuck and stranded that day, even though DIA closed, schools closed – all closed BEFORE the storm.  For me, that was a clue to the severity of the anticipated storm.  Customarily, both don’t close even with a blizzard forecast.  This time this blizzard was very different.

Nonetheless, Spring is one of my favorite seasons.  The flowers and trees begin to bloom again.  The mix of colors are amazing!  Our grass turns from beige to green again. Birds are chirping.  Physically viewing the changes in our season change reminds me just as our weather changes, we are in a new season of our life, as well.  It’s Spring 2019, a Spring that we have never seen before.  What changes will you make in your life this spring?  How do you make this spring, one of your best ones yet?

No matter what your weather is where you live today, remind yourself that you have an opportunity to turn this Spring into a Spring you will never forget!  Enjoy each day to the fullest, like never before!  Be intentional –  truly Spring forward!
