The Governor

“It is never too late to be what you might have been.”

– George Eliot

What do Samuel L. Jackson, Vera Wang and the late Colonel Sanders have in common?  They are just a few famous people who have realized their passions later in life.

For Samuel L, it wasn’t until he played the drug head named Gator in Spike Lee’s Jungle Fever that Hollywood took attention.   He was 43 years old.  It was then that his acting career took off.

Vera Wang was an Olympic figure skater.  After not making the Olympic team, she continued her love for fashions with her very own brand Vera Wang at the age of 40.  Some of the most beautiful wedding dresses in the world are designed by her.  While she started with wedding dresses, she is a world-renowned designer with so much more!

And our beloved Colonel Sanders realized that he could hardly live on his social security check.  He franchised his first Kentucky Fried Chicken at the age of 62 years old.  I can smell that delicious chicken right now!  It’s definitely ‘finger licking’ good!

No matter how old you are in your life, have you placed a ceiling on your goals, your aspirations and your accomplishments?  Do you, like truckers, have a governor placed on your life? If this is you – have you been striving as Lazy You when you know that you can do so much more?  Life is about choices.  To not choose is also a choice.  So, I ask have you chosen to become all of who you were created & designed to be, or no?  If no, what’s your excuse?  One thing about it, it’s never too late to begin the journey of discovering the sweet spot of your life – a life where you are totally and uncompromising your authentic self.  How about you?  Are you pursuing your goals, your dreams and aspirations or are you just thinking about it?

Decide to be a Dream Getter.  Decide today that you will follow the ‘music’ in your heart, the beat of your drum.  No matter what other people think, decide that it doesn’t matter, because it really doesn’t.  Decide today that you will make one step toward your goal.  As long as you are blessed to be above ground, you should be pursing your dreams, your passions, your goals in life. It is never too late to pursue your dreams!

Young Risers and Late Bloomers are welcome here!  It’s never too late to become all of who you were created and designed to be!  No more excuses! Are ready to take the governor off your life and just soar to even greater heights in your life? Wanna chat?  bit.ly/savoirags
